Refuge Taking Usually on weekend before Guan Yin's Birthday, Day of Enlightenment and Renounciation (pls check event update Refuge Taking is the first step on the path to Practice. Thereafter, through Moral Conduct and Mental Development, Wisdom and Compassion is acheived. One who takes the Threefold Refuge is more likely to have favourable conditions in the practice.
3-Step 1-Bow Vesak Eve Devotees usually line up to meditatively cirumambulate the perimeter of the temple, bowing once every three steps, while chanting mantras or the name of the Buddha in praise of Him. This practice helps to purify the Mind, humble the ego and lessen obstacles along the spiritual Path.
