Chinese Calligraphy Workshop (Vesak Theme) 书法工作坊（卫塞主题）
In the spirit of Vesak, this workshop offers a quiet space to slow down and settle the mind through the practice of Chinese Calligraphy.
With each mindful stroke, participants are invited to reflect on wholesome qualities such as wisdom, compassion, and clarity. Guided by the gentle rhythm of brush and ink, the practice becomes a moment of stillness and inner cultivation. Each participant will write a meaningful character, such as peace, wisdom or compassion and place it in a beautifully decorated frame, creating a keepsake to take home as a gentle reminder of calm and mindful intention.

Mr. Ma Jie is a graduate of Peking University, Beijing, with a strong foundation in multiple calligraphy styles. He specialises in Regular and Semi-cursive scripts drawing inspiration from masters such as Yan Zhenqing, Zhao Mengfu, and Wang Xizhi. He was awarded the Merit Prize (Top 10) at the Singapore National Chinese Calligraphy Competition 2025 and was a finalist (Top 20) in the 13th Singapore Calligraphy Grand Competition organised by the Chinese Calligraphy Society of Singapore. An experienced educator, he engages young learners and nurtures their interest in calligraphy, while actively contributing to community initiatives that promote the artistic and cultural heritage of Chinese calligraphy. 马杰老师毕业于中国北京大学，自幼热爱书法，功底扎实，擅长多种书体，尤以颜真卿、赵孟頫、王羲之等风格的楷书与行书见长。他曾荣获2025年新加坡国立大学全国书法大赛公开组优秀奖（前十名），并入围新加坡书法家协会主办的 “第十三届新加坡书法大赛” 公开组决赛（前二十名）。马杰老师拥有丰富的教学经验，擅长激发儿童对书法的兴趣，并极参与公益项目，致力于传承与推广书法艺术与文化。 |
