CONTENT PRODUCER (EDITORIAL)

As a Content Producer (Editorial), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the editorial functions of the Marketing Communications department. If you have passion to grow into a dedicated wordsmith, here is an exciting opportunity for you. The role will enable you to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the marketing efforts within a non-profit environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Publishing and Editorial Support: Contribute to publishing tasks, manage editorial resources and generate creative ideas for magazines, educational materials, books and children’s stories
  • Content Creation: Engage in end-to-end content creation encompassing planning, researching, writing, editing and proofreading; Ensure quality and coherence of all written materials
  • Collateral and Communications Support: Assist in copywriting, editing and proofreading for various collateral materials, educational materials, signages and notices
  • Outreach and Stakeholder Management: Support outreach programmes, acting as the primary contact for donors and sponsors; Manage the donation process and foster positive partnership with external organisations; Enhance publication visibility through exhibitions, book-sharing etc.; Manage inventory, oversee circulation and liaise with contributing writers, authors, publishing house and designers on publication operations
  • Online Publication Management: Maintain and update KMSPKS website and social media platforms with new publications (e.g. e-books, e-magazine etc.)

Job Specifications

  • Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mass Communication or any related field
  • Year(s) of Experience: 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
  • Language(s): Proficient in English and Chinese with a commitment to accuracy in supporting content creation and other marketing communication efforts
  • Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Effective communication and collaboration skills, Familiar with online platforms, social media and digital publishing tools, Knowledge of design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photography (preferred), Good time management skills

  • Develop and organise youth activities, enrichment workshops and other outreach programmes.
  • Explore potential collaboration opportunities with other organisations for more youth engagement activities and programmes.
  • Handle volunteer and stakeholder management.
  • Constantly improve the activities and programmes to reach out to more youths.

PRAYER HALL ATTENDANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the prayer halls (e.g. sweeping the floor, clearing offering items, and removing incense etc.)
  • Assist with the prayer events and activities organized in the prayer halls
  • Attend to public enquiries
  • Monitor the functionality of hall equipment and report for any breakdowns

ANCESTRAL HALL ATTENDANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to customer enquiry
  • Assist customers with ancestral rituals / prayers / chanting and tablet placement
  • Clear prayer items after Ancestral rituals / prayers / chanting
  • Monitor the functionality of hall equipment and report for any breakdowns
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the ancestral halls
  • Support the Monastery annual prayer events

 

Job Specifications

  • Possess Secondary school qualification with at least 1 year of front line working experience
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Comfortable with physical works
  • Possess Work-At-Height certificate will be of an advantage

RETAIL ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general duties to ensure smooth running of daily retail operation
  • Support the backend duties such as receiving, checking, storing and delivery of goods etc.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the prayer items such as cleaning the containers of butter lamps etc.
  • Provide counter sales and attend to customers’ enquiries
  • Liaise with volunteers for flower arrangement and provide the related logistic support
  • Ensure workplace safety and environment cleanliness

 

Job Specifications

  • Min GCE “O” Level with 1 year of relevant working experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize crockery, cutlery and other cooking utensils according to standard operating procedures
  • Hand-wash delicate items when required
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, solutions, and other consumables. Notify Team Lead when replenishment is required

PROGRAMME EXECUTIVE, DHARMA EDUCATION

The position serves the administration of the Dharma Education Department (DED) to ensure smooth operation as part of the Dharma Propagation in the Monastery. You will be involved in the overall operation, planning, implementing, coordinating and executing of existing and new adult Dharma programmes and projects, including managing volunteers, as well as liaising for logistic and administrative support.

EXECUTIVE, MEDITATION HALL

The Prajna Meditation Hall is a five-storey building offering a tranquil space for meditation practice. The incumbent will be taking charge of the department’s programmes and courses held in the Hall with the objective of creating public awareness on meditation practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and oversee the department’s programmes and courses
  • Attend to public enquiry regarding the department’s programmes and courses (e.g. retreat and others)
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure the well-maintenance of the building

PURCHASING OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the teams of Service and Work Order (SWO) and Requisition in managing daily tasks
  • Communicate with end users and understand their needs and requirement for the requested goods/services
  • Source for vendors/contractors, request for quotations and negotiate for terms favourable to the Monastery
  • Follow up with vendors/contractors on goods delivery/work progress, invoices and required documents
  • Provide vendors/contractors with timely feedback to ensure goods/services quality and work effectiveness & efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with the department SOPs
  • Perform documentation and other administrative duties
  • Support the Monastery events and activities when required

 

Job Specifications

  • Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to deal with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, be tactful and diplomatic in handling of relationships and working well with all levels of personnel

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for day-to-day maintenance works (e.g. painting, installation) and cleaning works
  • Assist in setting up praying fixtures for the Monastery events
  • Provide logistic support when required

 

 Job Specifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Physical fit to carry out manual works
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 kg without assistance
  • Able to converse in English and/or Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates)
  • Able to work on weekends, public holidays and irregular working hours
  • Possess forklift licence/ Experience in replacing floor tiles and/or wall painting will be of an advantage
CAFÉ CREW, ZEN CAFÉ (FULL-TIME/ PART-TIME)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to Cafe’s day-to-day operations and engage customers in a personable and service-orientated manners
  • Prepare dishes according to menu and ensure good standards of taste and presentation
  • Process payment transaction using Point of Sales system with meticulousness and accuracy as well as handle daily cash deposit
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the environment
  • Handle Cafe equipment and report malfuntion of the equipment for replacement
  • Assist in inventory control and management
