Mindfulness Foundation Course: Living in the Present Moment

Practising mindfulness enhances well-being, reduces stress and helps one better manage challenging emotions.
Developed based on the most established and recognised mindfulness programme in the world – Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – this course aims to help working adults and retirees to:
- Improve concentration and work efficiency.
- Cope with stressful experiences at work or home, including managing pain and illnesses.
- Better navigate difficult emotions such as anger, fear and anxiety.
- Improve sleep quality.
- Letting go of worries about the future and being in the present moment.
Instructor:
Mr. Ong Pee Eng began his mindfulness journey over 30 years ago during his university years. Faced with a midlife crisis brought on by work-related stress, he deepened his practice, which became instrumental in helping him navigate that challenging period.
Now a full-time mindfulness trainer, he offers an array of services, including mindfulness workshops, multi-week courses, children’s classes, and one-on-one meditation sessions.
Driven by his passion for evidence-based teaching, Mr. Ong has earned the following qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher of the 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) programme from the University of Massachusetts (UMASS), Center for Mindfulness (USA)
- Certified Teacher of Paws b (ages 7 to 11) and .b (ages 11 to 18) children’s mindfulness programmes from the Mindfulness in School Project (MiSP) (UK)
- Certified ACTA trainer under Singapore WSQ
