Seeing Clearly, Living Wisely • An Introduction to Insight Meditation (Vipassanā)

Discover how meditation deepens your understanding of the mind and heart. Guided in cultivating mindfulness through the continuity of awareness, participants gradually gain insight into the three universal characteristics: impermanence, unsatisfactoriness and not-self.

This five-session course offers:
• Guided meditations
• Short, practical teachings
• Supportive posture guidance (sitting & walking)
• Reflection and dialogue opportunities

Beyond meditation techniques, this programme offers guidance on bringing wisdom and compassion into daily life, supporting more mindful responses to work, relationships and life’s challenges with greater clarity and ease.

** Suitable for beginners and those refreshing their practice.

** Minimum age: 18

Ms. Carmen Teo has been practicing yoga since 2004 and mindfulness meditation since 2007, teaching mind-body modalities since 2012. A dedicated insight meditator, she has completed over 20 silent retreats across Asia, Australia and the USA, primarily in the Theravāda Thai Forest and Mahasi/U Pandita lineages under her primary teacher Patrick Kearney.

Having personally navigated burnout, depression, and health challenges, Carmen discovered transformation through the wisdom traditions of Yoga and the Buddha Dharma. She is passionate about making mindfulness meditation accessible to all while honouring its traditional roots.

Since 2015, Carmen has been a pioneer of non-sectarian mindfulness in Singapore. She is a certified teacher in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and Yoga, as well as workplace and school programmes.
