CAFE CREW, ZEN CAFE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to Cafe’s day-to-day operations and engage customers in a personable and service-orientated manners
  • Prepare dishes according to menu and ensure good standards of taste and presentation
  • Constantly improve cooking processes with attention to speed and quality
  • Process payment transaction using Point of Sales system with meticulousness and accuracy as well as handle daily cash deposit
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the entire environment
  • Handle kitchen & cafe equipment and report malfunction of the equipment for replacement
  • Manage food inventory and control
  • Comply with Workplace Safety and Health guidelines

 

Job Specifications

  • Qualification: Higher Secondary/Profession Certificate/NiTEC in Hospitality or F&B related specialization
  • Years of Experience: 1 – 2 years of cooking/food preparation experience
  • Possess Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate
  • Language(s): Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with both English and Mandarin-speaking customers
  • Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Good knowledge of food ingredients, Good culinary skills, Basic knowledge of making coffee and other beverages, Effective communication and interpersonal skills, Basic computer skills

SERVICE CREW, F&B (FULL-TIME / PART TIME)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean, dry and store kitchenware
  • Carry out preparation works in the dining hall for events and activities (e.g. table/ banquette setting etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of dining hall and service crew work areas
  • Replenish consumables and condiments when necessary
  • Serve/pack meal for staff and public
  • Assist at counter/food stalls for sales of mixed veggie rice, rice dumplings etc. during weekends and festival periods
  • Ensure the tea/water level in the dispenser at water station is well maintained and paper cups are replenished when necessary.
  • Clear the leftover food bins
  • Comply with workplace safety and health guidelines

 

Job Specifications

  • Experience in F&B environment and able to communicate in English and Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin speaking public
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to commit for 5-day work week (Full-time) / 3-day work week (Part-time)
  • Must be able to work on weekend(s), public holiday(s) and irregular working hour(s)
  • Possess Food Safety Level 1 certificate will be of an advantage

KITCHEN STEWARD / DISHWASHER (FULL-TIME / PART TIME)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clear used plates from dining tables and self-return tray area
  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize crockery, cutlery and other cooking utensils
  • Clean pots, pans and glassware
  • Weekly cleaning of kitchen equipment (e.g. refrigerator, ice machine etc.)
  • Keep dishwashing equipment clean and report for any functional or mechanical problem promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the working areas
  • Assist with other F&B duties when required
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health guidelines

IT ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand business operations and security requirements, and implement IT infrastructure and cloud solutions including IT security with best practices
  • Support networking and server operational level including IT virtualization, storage and backup solutions, well as IT security (e.g. cybersecurity), MFA, business continuity, disaster recovery and information risk management.
  • Manage IT endpoint security operations to ensure high level of reliability, security, maintainability and resiliency
  • Plan, schedule, execute and monitor IT project(s) as assigned
  • Assist with the department’s annual audits and budget planning
  • Assist in updating and maintaining IT risk assessment, IT policies, IT processes & hardening guides as part of library documentation
  • Manage vendor service on the preventive maintenance and service support within the stipulated timeline
  • Monitor the existing IT services to ensure timely service or renewal
  • Assist with end-user request in areas of IT aspects

 

Job Specifications

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Information technology/Computer science or related and equivalent qualification
  • Year(s) of Experience: At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure support including cloud computing technologies such as Azure, AWS platform and IT project management. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in networking protocol, routing, switches including troubleshooting network level issues.
  • Language(s): Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with English or Mandarin-speaking associates
  • Required Knowledge/Skill(s): IT Security management, IT Infrastructure and Cloud computing services and compliance, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VMware, Google workplace, Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Liaise with volunteers for flower arrangement and provide the related logistic support

  • Qualification: Diploma and above

  • Prepare daily vegetarian meals according to recipes

  • Support the kitchen operations during the monastery events and activities
  • Maintain the cleanliness & hygiene of the kitchen and nearby areas
  • Comply with workplace safety and health guidelines

 

Job Specifications

  • Year of Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in F&B field

GENERAL SERVICES ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for day-to-day maintenance works (e.g. painting, installation) and cleaning works
  • Assist in setting up praying fixtures for the Monastery events
  • Provide logistic support when required

 

 Job Specifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Physical fit to carry out manual works
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 kg without assistance
  • Able to converse in English and/or Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates)
  • Able to work on weekends, public holidays and irregular working hours
  • Possess forklift licence/ Experience in replacing floor tiles and/or wall painting will be of an advantage
