This introductory programme offers a clear and simple overview of the most basic teachings and ideas of Buddhism. It is designed for those with little or no prior knowledge, and provides a gentle foundation for further learning and practice.

Instructor: |
Venerable Aparekke Sirisumana Thero was ordained as a Sri Lankan Buddhist monk in 1998 and received his higher ordination in 2007. He holds a B.A. in Buddhist Philosophy from the University of Ruhuna (UOR) Sri Lanka and a second B.A. degree in Buddhist Studies from the Buddhist College of Singapore (BCS). He has also completed his M.A. in Buddhist Studies from the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU). Ven. Aparekke Sirisumana Thero is also concurrently teaching “Early Buddhism – Basic Doctrines” to Diploma students and “Buddhism and Modern issues” to Master students in Mangala Vihara. |
