Instructor: Ajahn Nyaniko has been serving as the abbot of Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery since June 2020. Born and raised in California, he first visited Abhayagiri in 2001 at the age of 20 and soon requested anagarika ordination. He took novice ordination in 2002 and became bhikkhu in July 2003. Ajahn Nyaniko received his early training under Luang Por Pasanno and Luang Por Amaro at Abhayagiri and spent over six years training in Thailand. When Ajahn Pasanno stepped down from his leadership role in 2018, Ajahn Karuṇadhammo and Ajahn Nyaniko jointly guided the Abhayagiri community as co-abbots. |
