One-day study camp: from defilements to liberation

Join Venerable Shi Chun Nian in this one-day study camp to explore how cultivating the mind can help rise above defilements and guide us from suffering to liberation. This unique opportunity allows students to seamlessly integrate classroom knowledge and skills into their daily lives.

Instructor:
Venerable Shi Chun Nian was ordained in 1999 at Bao Guang Fo Tang Temple under the tutelage of Venerable Sek Te Yuan. She pursued her studies at the International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University in Myanmar from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Buddhist Studies. Her profound interest in the inner workings of the mind led her to study meditation techniques with esteemed teachers from Myanmar, Australia, India, the United States, and Singapore.

Since 2006, Venerable Shi Chun Nian has devoted herself to teaching meditation at Bao Guang Fo Tang Temple. Her expertise has led to invitations to lead meditation sessions and English Dharma classes at various Buddhist organisations. She has been a teacher in the English Buddhism Course at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery since 2008.
